Artist Note
Feelisch sought to make a “productive contact with that part of the public open to progressive changes of all kinds” (Die Zeit 1969). His use of passe-partout (a framing device and a kind of “master key,” or perhaps a pun on “passport, too”) suggests this attempt to travel from one world to another (Craig Saper, Fluxacademy: From Intermedia to Interactive Education 79).
